The Queen’s Mines by Charles Chewe - Now Available

Raider Publishing International announces the release of The Queen’s Mines by Charles Chewe.

July 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Set in England's Reading in the county of Berkshire, The Queen's Mines narrates the life of a foreign student's struggle to realise his dreams by earning as much money as possible to augment the often inadequate student allowances within the limited time of their stay in Britain.

Many of the foreign students stay longer after their studies, and sometimes permanently for a variety of reasons, including perceived better employment prospects and a better life.

With the help of his friends, Chilo graduates from Recruitment Agency part-time irregular jobs to a regular full-time job in a catering situation and occasional two-hour cleaning job. In the midst of self imposed ten-hour long 'peace keeping missions,' Chilo takes time off his demanding schedules to partake of the English urban life and to enjoy England's hospitality in the midst of bright summers and gloomy winters.

After a twenty-one month long sojourn, Chilo decides it is time to leave the Thames valley, and even with dreams unrealised, he must heed the call of the African wild.
