Agilex Hires Mark Scheffel as Chief Quality Officer

New Position Expands Agilex’ Commitment to Customer Service Excellence

July 18, 2011 - PRLog -- Agilex, a leading provider of mission and technology solutions to the healthcare, national security and public sectors, today announced the appointment of Mark Scheffel to the newly created position of Chief Quality Officer.  He will lead Agilex’ efforts to partner closely with clients to consistently achieve outstanding business and mission results.  Mr. Scheffel joins Agilex from Northrop Grumman, where he was responsible for the development and delivery of business process management (BPM) and human capital management (HCM) solutions within the federal civilian sector.

“In launching Agilex, our goal was to provide clients with a highly differentiated customer experience.  One that was outcome-driven, marked by consistent and dependable delivery, and emphasized highly targeted, innovative and adaptive solutions,” said Agilex President John Gall.  “As demonstrated by our tremendous growth over the past four years, we have delivered upon this promise.  Mark’s tremendous insight and passion for excellence will ensure that we continue to exceed client expectations as we further grow the business.”

Mr. Scheffel brings extensive experience in creating, deploying and managing complex enterprise solutions for both government and commercial clients.  He is also a recognized expert in BPM and related process improvement disciplines.  He has led large technical engineering and software development organizations that have achieved the industry’s highest benchmarks, such as CMMI and ISO certification.

Mr. Scheffel will spearhead Agilex’ commitment to customer service excellence.  This includes ongoing efforts internally to implement process improvement and quality control measures for more consistent, higher quality product and service delivery.  He will also provide subject matter expertise for strategic capture management pursuits, client process reengineering engagements and internal product development initiatives.  He reports directly to Mr. Gall and serves as a member of the executive management team.

“Having worked with John and others to grow Integic, I’m excited by the opportunity to help establish Agilex as an industry leader as well,” said Mr. Scheffel.  “This is a transformative period for the contracting industry.  Confronted with today’s rapidly changing missions and tighter budgets, contractors will need to maintain uncompromised quality standards while meeting new mandates for more iterative, faster and flexible delivery.  This is where Agilex distinguishes itself.”

Mr. Scheffel previously served as Vice President of Product Strategy & Development for Integic, the 2004 Midsize Government Contractor of the Year.  Among many accomplishments, he led development of the e.POWER business process management suite.  e.POWER has been adopted by a number of government agencies, including the Office of Personal Management (OPM), where it serves as the foundation for the agency’s eOPF offering.  Following the company’s 2005 acquisition by Northrop Grumman, Mr. Scheffel was named President of the Integic subsidiary.  Subsequently, he was named director of enterprise process solutions for Northrop Grumman's Civil Systems division.
