This ministry was created and titled Rescue Joplin which is hosted here at http://www.RescueJoplin.org. Here at RescueJoplin.org we offer a variety of services free-of-charge to those unfortunate individuals and families affected by the storm. From offering food and water, to clothes and shelter; Rescue Joplin is here to lend a helping hand in anyway possible to those suffering from the aftermath of this massive tornado. Continue reading to learn more about http://twitter.com/RescueJoplin as well as information about Rev. Lee Terry and his ongoing mission to ensure that people in Joplin receive the attention and care that they deserve. Rev. Lee Terry is carrying on his father Dr. E. L. Terry's mission by spreading the good word in many of the same charitable ways his father had done throughout his life.

A native of Dallas, Texas, Dr. E. L. Terry (Lee Terry's Father) was converted when he stopped by to see his sister in Taylor, Texas. She and her husband were the Pastors of a small church in Taylor. He was on his way to fight in Madison Square Garden. Instead he crawled to an altar of repentance and accepted the call to ministry. At a very early age he knew he would one day become a minister. That night, God made it very clear to him that now was the time to leave his desire to be a world champion boxer behind and begin winnings souls for God.

Dr. Terry immediately began studying for the ministry. His studies took him to Midwestern University, Ohio Northern University and Hodge Seminary. Little did he know he was destined to become a vessel that God would use to reach countless thousands with the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was a guest lecturer at Duke University, representing the Pentecostal world and took part in a study on the Charismatic Movement hosted by Harvard University.

Dr. Terry was a pastor, teacher, evangelist, missionary and prophet. His greatest love was evangelism. His ministry has brought deliverance to hundreds of thousands in 103 countries, islands and states. While ministering in crusades in India, he spoke to crowds of over 100,000 people. Over 10,000 were added to the church as a result of these crusades.

Dr. E. L. Terry recorded over 250 sermons on cassette tape, CD, VHS tapes and DVD’s. Dr. Terry authored 3 books entitled: “Someone is Coming”, “Masterful Sermons” and “Seeing through the eyes of a Prophet”.

Without peers in revival style preaching, he will be long remembered as a man doing the works of God in his generation.

Dr. E. L. Terry, Jr. was born on April 29th, 1932 to Ernest Lee and Mabel Jones Terry in Clovis, New Mexico. He went to meet his Savior on April 14th, 2007 in Gainesville, Florida.
