NY Poker Club Sends "Fatty's" to Compete in 2011 WSOP Main Event

July 8, 2011 - PRLog -- NEW YORK – Fatty’s Poker Club, the exclusive New York Poker Club and upcoming reality television show, is sending five of its players to play in the Main Event of the 2011 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas this week.  In addition, Fatty’s Poker has teamed up with Fantazzle.com to create a free, fantasy poker game for the Main Event. The Fatty’s Five take on all challengers in the Main Event and will give out prizes to the top five fantasy teams that best them in the tournament.

The lucky five “Fatty’s are part of the cast of the show in production Fatty’s: Where Poker Gets Real. The show follows the real life of club owner Mike “The Nose” Castaldo, his cousins Tom and Chris and a cast of regulars as they try to balance their everyday lives with their passion for poker. “You can’t miss us we are very fat and very fashionable!” said show co-creator Mike “The Nose” Castaldo, sporting a bright red poker shirt and Fatty’s logo.  “We’re laying down the challenge to everyone in the Main Event. Choose your fantasy team and see if they can do better than ours!”

“Fatty Fever is a few days away, we just need to fade five thousand fish,” said Show creator Scotte “Mayhem” Einiger. Scotte Mayhem felted Phil Ivey in last year’s Main Event, but is a senior partner at the pre-eminent healthcare law firm Abrams Fensterman by day. “We’re average guys trying to win life-changing money, but we have each other’s backs. Barry Greenstein gives away a book; we will give the shirt off our back if someone knocks out one of our Fatty players.  It isn’t going to be pretty,” said show co-creator and resident poker pro “Big Al” Riccobono.  The Fatty’s Five will need to survive a field of over 5000 players to win the coveted bracelet and first place prize of approximate five million dollars. They are either living a fantasy or living in a fantasy world… time will tell.

The fearless five teamed up with Fantazzle.com, a daily fantasy sports game site, to create a FREE fantasy poker game that pits your fantasy poker team against the Fatty's Five crew to win free prizes. The fantasy game will start on Day 2A of the WSOP Main Event - Monday, July 11th - so players have plenty of time to register. Pick five poker pros that will go head to head against the Fatty's guys.
