July 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Not typical of the inventors who use the services of the Centre in Kings Cross, London, the company was founded to empower primary-aged children after research the founders undertook at the British Library’s Business and IP Centre (BIPC).

The company was set up in February 2009 to blend Eastern spirituality with Western positive psychology to improve children’s life skills during their critical formative years. Kidz4Mation http://www.kidz4mation.com boosts children’s confidence to help them combat shyness, lack of self-esteem and bullying through books and resources the company has published and it’s fun and life changing workshops.

Psychologist Dr Marie Stewart MBE welcomed the news: “It is wonderful that a company committed to giving children the best start in life has been recognised as a Success Story by The British Library. Kidz4Mation’s work reminds us that a child’s emotional and social development is as important as their intellectual development for success at school and in later life.”

Siobhan Speke’s daughter Shannon, aged 8, joined Kidz4Mation’s workshop programme in June. Siobhan, from Harrow, north-west London, said: “Shannon has had some issues with expressing herself and with shyness. She has enjoyed her time with Kidz4Mation and is even coming back for further sessions. She told me she feels comfortable there and has more confidence knowing there are other children feeling the same way she feels. I'm completely happy knowing that groups like Kidz4Mation can help my daughter confront her issues and help her in every way.”

Co-founder Seema Thobhani said on the announcement, “It is such an honour for Kidz4Mation to be recognised as a success story by the British Library. We found its resources and staff invaluable – from market research at the pre-launch stage to the seminars and events we attend now to support our continued growth.”

Kidz4Mation has changed the lives of over a thousand children since January 2010. It has published six stories featuring Mikey, a blue monkey. Each book teaches a different life skill, like turning an ‘I can’t do it’ attitude into ‘I can do it’.
