July 4, 2011 - PRLog -- UK-based AV & IT rental company DB Systems is seeing a growing demand to provide exhibitors with interactive technologies.

Technologies such as augmented reality (AR), 3D, multi-touch and holographic systems not gimmicks. They are a mainstay of AV communications. That’s because people are no longer interested in simply looking. They want to be part of the experience, which is what interactive technology allows.

Here is an example of the AR project DBpixelhouse, DB’s creative division, did for GE at the 2011 Paris Air Show. http://www.dbsystems.co.uk/db_pixel_house

To summarise, GE wanted to highlight the workings of an aircraft engine to event attendees. There was a full size engine on the stand and DBpixelhouse designed an AR system that consisted of a moveable screen, which displayed computer generated engine information and images, which were superimposed on to the real world setting.
