Britain’s Next Dog Model 2011 Winner Is Crowned

PRLog (Press Release) - Jun. 30, 2011 - Britain’s Next Dog Model 2011 is supported by leading online pet retailer, PetPlanet.co.uk, and went live on 23 April to coincide with National Grooming Week and National Pet Month. All entries were co-ordinated via Mikki’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/MikkiPet. The 10 Semi-Finalists were chosen by Facebook users from over 400 contestants with thousands of votes cast. The three Finalists were then selected in a final stage of public voting which closed on June 24, 2011. The three Finalists were:

Scout – King Charles Spaniel from Buckinghamshire
Willow – Golden Retriever from Kent
Ralphy - Black and Silver Miniature Schnauzer from Swansea

The panel of judges, including award-winning groomer Alison Rogers, Mikki Brand Manager Anh Nguyen, and representatives from The Blue Cross and competition sponsor PetPlanet.co.uk (http://www.petplanet.co.uk/), selected the winner and Britain’s Next Dog Model 2011 following careful consideration of all votes.

As well as the prestige of becoming Britain’s Next Dog Model 2011, Scout and his owner will be treated to an exclusive pet and owner photoshoot session, and the dog will become the face of Mikki advertising for a year.
