July 1, 2011 - PRLog -- NORCROSS, Georgia – Ashworth College, a leading online school, today announced that 2011 Graduation activities will include an opportunity for graduates and guests to participate in a career search workshop. The highlight of this year’s workshop will be a panel discussion led by representatives from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Randstad US, and RE:FOCUS ON CAREERS.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Ashworth (http://www.ashworthcollege.edu), a leader in online education, has tapped the resources of career experts to provide a value-add for its graduates in the form of a career workshop. The workshop will take place prior to the July 16, 2011 ceremony which will be held at the Cobb Energy Centre in Atlanta, GA.

Exclusively for Ashworth graduates and their guests, the session will offer practical advice on how to effectively utilize traditional and new media in their job search, how to effectively utilize staffing and recruiting agencies, and the necessity of networking skills.

“Just as there are trends in food, fashion and the types of television programs we watch, there are trends in how to effectively search for a job,” said Dr. Leslie Gargiulo, Ashworth College Vice President of Education. “Between the current economy and the Internet, the way people find jobs today has dramatically changed and now that our students have completed their education, we want to help them succeed by giving them as many tools as we can. We are fortunate to partner with experts from the AJC, Randstad and RE: FOCUS.
