June 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Travelling with cash can sometimes be dangerous. Many bed and breakfasts in the UK accept cash, traveller's cheques and bank cheques when making payments or an online transfer when making a deposit.

Here are a few tips on how to keep your money safe while travelling:

Debit or Credit cards: Cash machines are available all over Britain and work well. However, a debit card is not so much recommended as it has security issues. Credit cards have been described as the safest cards you can use in transactions during your trips.

It helps to protect you from fraud even after a transaction is made. While using a credit card, make sure you find a way to pay off that balance remotely every month if you are on an extended trip. The great thing about B&Bs is they are cheap holidays which give you healthy credit card statements each month.

Traveller's Cheques: Some bed and breakfasts http://www.bedandbreakfast.org.uk accept traveller's cheques and some don't, therefore cash the cheque so you can pay for your chosen bed and breakfast. Aside from that, traveller's cheques are the best in terms of resisting impulse shopping. These cheques have been described as safer than hard cash when it comes to keeping your money safe while travelling. The biggest advantage to traveller's cheques is that you can get a refund if they're lost or stolen.

The most effective way of keeping your money safe is by hiding it well. For example you can use a money belt to stash away your cash. Shop for a money belt that is comfortable and perfect in all weather during your weekend break in the UK.

Tip: Never  e-mail your credit or debit card number. You are also advised to have hard cash on you in case your credit or debit card creates a problem.
