Based on a true story, the film chronicles the journey of two legends and pioneers in the worldwide Urban Street Dance movement phenomenon. The intense family drama set against the gritty backdrop of “Urban Street Dance” (also referred to as Hip-hop dance) will have broad appeal, but is aimed at the hip-hop dance genre’s hardcore base of practitioners. Kenny says, ”I am excited that Thomas and his brother Paul are playing themselves in this brave film because they are the absolute masters of Cross-over Locking, Funk Boogaloo and Open-hand Popping. It would be impossible to find dancers with their level of mastery.”
Director of Photography Igor Meglic (D.P. for Fast Five, Salt and Bourne Ultimatum) has also been tapped on what is intended to be the first in a new movie genre. Says Director Kubilos, “We are really looking forward to capturing this high intensity athletic dance style which has never been seen on film before.”
