June 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Houston, Tx – June 12, 2011 – The law firm of Brent Coon & Associates, received the “Best Integrated  Legal  Campaign during the 2011 Internet Advertising Competition Awards  for its “Gulf Coast Disaster” Campaign. The campaign included the website “GulfCoastDisaster.com” and blends both online and offline advertising while incorporating 21st century marketing methods such as interactive online “Town Hall” video seminars and traffic generation efforts targeting online social networks.

The Gulf Coast Disaster campaign targets victims of the BP Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion and subsequent oil spill on April 20th, 2010. The campaign, which was launched days after the oil rig explosion, was and is updated daily with breaking oil spill news, environmental updates and included over 300 media appearances by world renowned BP legal expert Brent Coon. Brent Coon’s media appearances include CNN, MSNBC, 60 Minutes, Anderson Cooper 360, and Fox News.

BCA’s Gulf Coast Disaster is being recognized as the Best Legal Integrated Ad Campaign of 2011 by the Web Marketing Association, the producer of the IAC Awards. Now in its 14th year, the competition has become the premier event for ad agencies, in house marketing groups and internet marketing firms all looking to judge their campaigns against the industry’s best. Past winners include HBO, GEICO Insurance, Walt Disney, MGM Mirage and CNN Digital Media.

BCA was also honored with the “Best in Show” Award for Best Legal Integrated Ad Campaign in 2009 for it’s “I Hate Ike” Campaign. In addition, BCA also received The Web Marketing Association’s Legal Standard of Excellence Award for “Outstanding Achievement in Web Development” for the website Texas City Explosion.  The Texas City Explosion website was designed as an informational site to keep the media and public informed on the BP trial in 2005, features court-released documents, terms of the settlement, video from the deposition and trial and a full press room archive chronicling news reports over the course of the litigation.
