Follow on Google News | The Label Printers Sponsors/Leads Workshop at Pharma/Medical Devices Anti-Counterfeiting ConferenceThe Label Printers was a sponsor, exhibitor, and workshop leader for the Anti-Counterfeiting for Pharma and Medical Devices Conference at the Chemical Heritage Foundation Conference Center in Philadelphia, from May 31st – June 2nd.
Michael Agee, Director of Brand Protection Programs for The Label Printers said, “the conference was an open environment – presenters and attendees both spoke candidly about supply chain and regulatory issues that they face. We learned more about FDA programs such as E Pedigree, which are important steps in the anti-counterfeiting fight. But because the format really did allow for dialogue, those attending the conference and the workshops such as the one that I led, had the opportunity to point out their concerns about focusing solely on serialization. I think that serialization is only half the battle, and that authentication is as important for the industry to focus on. Serialization and authentication need to be combined for any anti-counterfeiting measure to be fully effective. And conferences such as this are a good way for the industry to hear messages like that.” The Anti-Counterfeiting & Brand Protection Summit included three days of workshops, presentations, and case studies. The Summit’s Conferences and Workshops covered such topics as: • The latest counterfeiting trends, legislation and cases as they relate to the Pharmaceutical Industry • How to secure product brand integrity with integrated protection strategies • Discussing innovative strategies to diminish use of the internet to purchase counterfeit products • The impact of globalization of the pharmaceutical industry • Risk management strategies to ensure supply chain safety The Label Printers’ Conference Workshop’s topic was: • Integrating Product and Supply Chain components into a Brand Owner’s Strategy This workshop’s focus was: o Defining the brand protection strategy at all levels of the program o Understanding and securing the entire supply chain o Ensuring future stability by taking care of future sustainability Workshop Leader: Michael Agee Director, Brand Protection Programs The Label Printers More information about the conference presentations/ About Pharma IQ, a division of IQPC: Pharma IQ provides useful training courses, conferences, and expositions for pharmaceutical executives to network and learn the latest pharma business development and trends occurring in organizations today.
