RI's Go Skateboarding Day, After You Skate It’s The After Party DECKEDOUT621 June 21 At FH13

June 8, 2011 - PRLog -- PROVIDENCE, RI - It’s All Good Smoke Shop and FOX Scion are proud to present DECKEDOUT621:The Official Rhode Island “Go Skateboarding Day” After Party at Firehouse 13 on Tuesday, June 21st 2011.

Go Skateboarding Day is every year on June 21, skateboarders around the globe celebrate the pure exhilaration, creativity, and spirit of one of the most influential activities in the world by blowing off all other obligations to go skateboarding.

DECKEDOUT621 will feature live music from a number northeastern bands to help celebrate Go Skateboarding Day with an after party including Short Handed Goal, The Copacetics, For What It's Worth, The Steakouts, The Rudeness, and Seven Year Plan with special guest The Gentleman Sound System.

The Rudeness was conceived in early 2009 by friends who had been playing music together previously in the nationally recognized pop-punk band M-80.  Having all come from the coastal region of Rhode Island, they wanted to get back to their musical roots and the Ska/Reggae band The Rudeness as we know it today was formed.

Hailing from Providence, For What It’s Worth plays fast melodic punk influenced by the sound of early 90s punk rock bands such as Face to Face and The Gits. The band won  Best Live Act in the 2007 Motif Music Awards and lead singer Jenn was nominated as Best Female Vocals that same year.

The Steakouts are a Rochester NY based ska/punk band that formed during December 2009. They have recently shared a bill with the influential ska band Mustard Plug. The Steakouts will be making their Providence debut at DECKOUT621.

Additional acts in include the Ska/Reggae/Rocksteady band from Providence The Copacetics, Fall River Rock/Punk band Seven Year Plan, and the seven member Ska/Punk band Short Handed Goal from Pawtucket.
