June 6, 2011 - PRLog -- After noticing the global boom in biofuels, and the rapidly growing energy needs of the world population we offered clients the opportunity to move into the alternative energy sector whilst developing biofuels, and helping to halt climate change, through jatropha oil.

Jatropha is a drought-resistant inedible green shrub that grows almost anywhere, so not displacing agricultural land for food. The liquid in the plant can be made into a sustainable biodiesel, which back in 2007, was cited by Goldman Sachs as one of the best candidates for future biodiesel production. Since then it has soared.

The oil-rich seeds produce 3 metric tonnes of oil per hectare, the highest of all tree seeds.

Jatropha's potential to help mitigate climate change are vast, reducing 68% of the greenhouse gas emissions of fossil diesel.

The climate and land is perfect for jatropha in India. In fact, the Indian government recently set aside 100 million hectares suitable for production of the plant.
