Beatles Expert and Author Selected as Featured Author at 2011 Melrose Festival

June 3, 2011 - PRLog -- Jude Southerland Kessler, a graduate of Northwestern State University and former teacher at Southwood High School in Shreveport, and has written the only researched historical novels on the life of John Lennon - Shoulda Been There and her newly released 2nd volume - Shivering Inside will be the Featured Author at the 2011 Melrose Arts and Crafts Festival in Natchitoches, LA on June 11-12, 2011.

Ms. Kessler has researched Lennon and the Beatles for over 20 years and made 7 trips to Liverpool to interview John Lennon’s friends, family and colleagues for these books.  Shoulda Been There focuses Lennon’s life from his birth in 1940 to the discovery of the Beatles by manager, Brian Epstein, in 1961. Shivering Inside continues Lennon’s story from 1961 to the birth of his son Julian.  Kessler is covering Lennon’s entire life in nine historical novels, the next of which is to be published in October 2013.

Jude Kessler’s books have been recognized by Beatles experts worldwide. Goldmine Magazine called Kessler “a master storyteller” and Bill Harry, author of The Ultimate Beatles Encyclopedia, called Shoulda Been There “a real tour de force!”  The Houston Chronicle said: “The reader has a peephole on events that shaped Lennon’s childhood and the beginning of the Beatles!”
