Probus OneTouch Owner George Lee Partners with Courage Center

May 18, 2011 - PRLog -- Entrepreneur George Lee has been recognized for his efforts to support Courage Center through his for-profit business expertise. For the last 10 years, Lee has offered his time and skills as a volunteer at Courage Center by teaching in the adaptive ski program, providing warehouse space for sailboats and ski equipment, and serving on Courage Center's advisory board.

But Lee wanted to do more: "I asked myself 'how can I as a for-profit business help Courage Center meet their business needs and mission by what I do?'" Using his experience as the owner and founder of Probus OneTouch (an ecommerce business), Roll Mobility (an Internet retail store that sells mobility equipment), and Jobs Foundation (a nonprofit with an online auction site), Lee brainstormed ways to help Courage Center meet its business needs and mission through online retail. The results so far have brought in nearly $21,000 in sales to benefit Courage Center, with more on the way.

Last winter, Lee organized an online auction for donated ski and snowboard equipment through Jobs Foundation to support Courage's adaptive ski program. Beginning in the spring of 2011, Roll Mobility will begin selling custom-designed wheelchair accessories whose sales will benefit Courage Center.

What is the passion behind Lee's support of Courage Center? Lee explains, "I was drawn to the mission of Courage Center because one of my sons was disabled. I want to help people with disabilities be as independent as possible." Through his volunteer efforts with Courage Center, Lee is making his goal a reality.
