Follow on Google News | Biodegradable Food Service announces USDA BioPreferred certification for TaterWare "6400-G" cutleryBiodegradable Food Service (BDFS) announced today that its newly re-formulated and green-colored 6400 Series cutlery has been certified to meet the USDA BioPreferred program “bio-based” requirements for disposable cutlery.
By: Tom Rice Kevin Duffy, President of BDFS, said today that “This announcement marks the next generation of our TaterWare cutlery, and we’re thrilled to proactively continue our participation in this forward-thinking USDA program.” The TaterWare Green 6400 series is BDFS’s newest product and is made with annually renewable resources. It exceeds the USDA’s Bio-Preferred Program requirement for disposable cutlery by a factor of 60%, and meets ASTM D6400 specifications for degradation in industrial compost facilities.
