Oxfordshire, UK: 11 May, 2011: Visitors to the Facilities Show will be able to see how MITIE pest control and Flora-tec, one of the UK's leading corporate horticultural companies, are successfully deploying Codegate's mobileworker for Facilities Management to enhance the facilities management (FM) services they offer to their customers, prove that service level agreements are being met, and improve internal business processes to raise levels of efficiency and productivity.

Codegate's mobileworker for Facilities Management software, running on a handheld mobile computer, enables the transfer of knowledge and data from the main office to remote workers which delivers full visibility of a remote workforce. This visibility allows in-house or outsourced FM service providers to easily and cost effectively monitor the location and activity of remote workers, measure their performance and crucially manage that performance from an informed perspective.

MITIE deployed Codegate's mobileworker for Facilities Management having recognised that it needed to improve its efficiency and reporting, which in turn would result in increasing the quality of service it offered to its customers. mobileworker for Facilities Management has enabled MITIE to increase its volume of pest control jobs by 20% and gain competitive advantage through improving business processes and reducing operating costs.

"We chose to partner with Codegate as it demonstrated a wealth of experience in tailoring its mobileworker for Facilities Management software to exactly meet the requirements of its customers," said Peter Trotman, MD of MITIE’s pest control business.

Flora-tec has also enhanced its customer service levels with the deployment of mobileworker for Facilities Management.

"We wanted to improve the accuracy and levels of reporting to our customers on the services our technicians were delivering. We could see the benefit of deploying a mobile solution that would prove site visits had taken place and that service levels agreements (SLAs) were being met," said Andy Bradley, Flora-tec’s MD.

The data captured by a remote worker at a customer site delivers indisputable evidence of exactly which FM tasks were carried out by what remote worker, at what time and at which location. This data, plus the ability to take an image of the work completed and to obtain a customer's electronic signature, confirming that the tasks have been successfully completed, allows FM service providers to categorically prove that service level agreements (SLAs) are being met.

"The ability to prove that SLAs are being met results in FM service providers having to deal with a greatly reduced number of customer help desk queries, far fewer invoice disputes, less resource time devoted to 'fire fighting', more recommendations from satisfied customers and more competitive wins," summed up Terran Churcher, Codegate's Chairman. "The end result is – more profit."
