Record Attendance at UK's City Business Show

May 2, 2011 - PRLog -- A huge ‘thank you’ is extended to all exhibitors and visitors who recently made The Brighton & Hove Spring 2011 Business Show, the UK’s number one coastal town/city’s busiest Business 2 Business event.

This growing event, now staged twice a year, has firmly established itself on the business calendar as the leading coastal town/city Business 2 Business Show in the UK with an astonishing 50% rise in attendance footfall increase at the recent Spring 2011.

“It’s fantastic to see the City and regional businesses support this business show who want to meet, network and do serious business. It’s putting many millions of pounds back into our local economy each season and this last event has shown that it was clearly no exception” stated Business Director Michaela Walker

The business day included the return of BBC’s Dragons’ Den production team visiting, providing information about the forthcoming series 9, applying, and with several local businesses filmed pitching for inclusion into the next round.  

Regular attendee, Mike Weatherley, MP, took time out of his busy schedule, visiting and engaging with exhibitors and visitors including a number of his business constituents from Hove & Portslade.  

Mike Weatherley, MP, stated “It was a delight to meet so many local businesses in the same place at the same time. The Brighton & Hove Business Show is huge – and getting bigger each time.”

Brighton & Hove City Councillors regularly support the event and The Leader, Mary Mears and Ayas Fallon Khan, Cabinet member for Enterprise were no exception. The Mayor and Lady Mayoress spent time with businesses and charities and with as many as 6 other councillors attending.  

Brighton & Hove is renowned for scores of diverse business support groups, forums, networking groups, and business clubs, having one of the highest ratios per business in the UK. Even with so many choices available to local businesses, The Brighton & Hove Business Show is now the largest commercial, Business 2 Business networking City event.  

“We are in a period of growth and regularly contacted by firms across Sussex wanting us to roll out our brand in their towns. We are undertaking a business review which features expansion which already indicates that we will need to create a number of jobs to sustain this new business growth by Brighton & Hove Business”… stated the Business Director.
