About the Author: Shelley Murphy began writing stories to help her youngest son learn to read and “to feel the power of a good book.” She is the mother of two sons and two stepsons. She runs an adult foster home and takes care of five residents with disabilities. Murphy and her husband, Michael, also work together on their ranch, where they raise Black Angus cattle. She lives in Pendleton, Oregon, and has begun writing the final book in her trilogy.
