"The Salvation Poem" and Radio Bendicion WDGY 107.5 FM

April 20, 2011 - PRLog -- “The Salvation Poem”, the first Latin American faith based film will open in theaters in Minneapolis.

"The Salvation Poem" is the first Latin American faith based film to open in theaters in the US and to enter the top 40 Box Office charts, and this May will play in selected theaters in Minneapolis.

Based on the true story of Argentinean singer Pablo Olivares, "The Salvation Poem” was filmed in Argentina, and focuses on the power of a mother’s prayer while her son backs away from his faith and enters the world of drugs and the occult.

This independent film was first released in Buenos Aires Argentina on November 2009, and according to "Clarin", the nations largest newspaper, "The Salvation Poem landed on the top 17 spot of the 85 Argentinean movies premiered in 2009 in Argentina." "The Salvation Poem" has, to date, been seen by over 425,000 people in 17 countries.

The movie has played in over 100 theatres to date in the United States and it out-performed all expectations at the Mall of the Americas in Miami FL, where it played for a record 18 weeks, making it one of the most watched movies in this theatre over the past four years.

The movie has been praised by it’s cinematography, the work of Russian Director of Photography Alexander Vatalev, as well as the vision and direction of producer Arturo Allen, who is well known for his previous work in the short film, "Bandera Blanca" as well as his involvement in several music videos for Latin Grammy winner Marcos Witt as well as his works with Alex Campos, Daniel Calveti and Pablo Olivares.

This film has not only been well received by the Christian community, but also amongst those who, even though they may not profess a particular faith, can relate to the love, hope and family values so clearly shown in the film.
