Solid Rock Receives A Little Support From Big Little Fudge

Big Little Fudge Donates 200 Boxes of Fudge to Alice Cooper’s Rock and Roll Golf Classic benefiting Solid Rock Foundation

April 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Phoenix, Ariz. – Big Little Fudge and legendary rocker Alice Cooper teamed up for Alice Cooper’s Rock and Roll Golf Classic, held Monday April 4th at Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale; the event benefited Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock Foundation. After a fun day of golf in the Arizona sun, golfers and guests enjoyed dinner, drinks and entertainment. Each guest sat down to a yummy box of Big Little Fudge at their table to enjoy after the meal or to bring home. Two hundred boxes of the Big Little favorite “Mixed Up” were donated to the event.

“We are honored to be a part of this event, and for the opportunity to donate our fudge to such a great charity, the Solid Rock Foundation,” said Robin Strickland, owner and founder of Big Little Fudge.

In addition to Big Little, the event played host to celebs and friends of Alice Cooper and his wife Sheryl, including actor Cheech Marin, 1960’s movie star Elke Sommer, retired Dallas Cowboys player Ray Perkins, Chicago Bears Super Bowl quarterback Jim McMahon, retired Seattle Seahawks quarterback Dave Kreig, Arizona Cardinals Head Coach Ken Wisenhunt and U.S. Open Champion Steve Jones.

All in all, the Rock and Roll Golf Classic was huge success, and guests went home satisfied with a full heart, and a fudge-filled stomach.

About the Solid Rock Foundation
The Solid Rock Foundation was started by Alice Cooper and longtime friend Chuck Savale. Both understood firsthand how important it is for Valley communities to address the needs of its teenagers, and envisioned a Christian organization dedicated to helping teens. In November 1995, the dream became a reality. Originally, Solid Rock’s mission was to raise money for other Christian organizations and individuals with like-minded missions, but the vision quickly went well beyond its original fund raising foundation. Alice and Chuck envisioned a teen center that provides an outlet where teens can flourish and equip themselves for their future. As a result, “The Rock” was born and the primary mission of Solid Rock was realized.
