Georgia Music Awards Delays Awards Show Due to PR Announcement

April 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Due to some new developments, such as a partnership with media partners Cox Radio, Comcast Television, and Manuel Seal Jr., Universal Music Worldwide writer, producer and artist.  We are extremely excited about our new media partners, they will help us share our message of supporting Georgia music across the state, so be on the lookout for GMA commercials on your radio and TV very soon!  "This partnership shows Cox Radio & Comcast Television unprecedented support of the Georgia artist, in all my years in the entertainment I have never seen radio and television show this level of artist support, Omar McCallop GMA Founder.  

We are equally excited about Grammy Winning Songwriter /Producer and 2010 A.S.C.A.P Song of the Decade Recipient Manuel Seal Jr., support of the GMAs.  Seal Music Productions and the GMAs are developing performance based evaluation platform for all artist categories. "We feel it best to reschedule the actual award show, to add these exciting new elements”, said Omar McCallop. Several new components and events will be added between now and the actual date of the awards show.

The first of many changes, is the GM Awards will kick off the efforts by hosting an announcement PR launch party on June 18th, (the original date of the awards show) inviting the “movers and shakers” in Georgia’s music, entertainment and nightlife community to a exclusive/private red carpet event.

The first round of nominations is currently open and will remain open as we are adding some critical additional categories to encompass the respective music culture throughout Georgia and to properly represent our diverse music community across the board.

The GMAs will open up a reserved performance slot at the awards, which will be filled by “SEAL THE DEAL”.  SEAL THE DEAL is a reality style show that will give artist the unique opportunity to perform allowing the evaluation of their stage presence, performance ability, overall image, market ability, song impact capability and content originality by competing in front of a panel of industry judges hosted by Manuel Seal.
