NAAFA to Award Plus-Size Fashion Design Scholarship

April 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Foster City, CA – Once again NAAFA will be awarding a $1000 scholarship to a currently enrolled fashion design student.  The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage student fashion designers to specialize in the design of fashions for the plus-size body.  This is the second such fashion design scholarship to be awarded by NAAFA.  

Sarah Rosandick was the recipient of the NAAFA 2010 Fashion Design Scholarship.  “Sarah’s professionalism, passion and unique design vision put her ahead of all other applicants.” Said NAAFA Chairman Jason Docherty.

Students currently enrolled in an accredited Fashion Design School are eligible to apply for the NAAFA Plus-Size Fashion Design Scholarship.  

The scholarship winner will be asked to participate in the 2011 National NAAFA Convention Fashion Show on Saturday, August 10, 2011 at the Westin Washington Dulles Airport Hotel where s/he will be introduced as our Fashion Design Scholarship winner
