SARTONK Unveils its Newest Design for Combative Sports Federation

April 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Newark and Union City, New Jersey – The Combative Sports Federation (CSF) and Sartonk Designs are proud to announce the release of the CSF’s Championship Boxing Belt. Under the leadership of Larry Hazzard, Sr., Rand Gordon, Rhonda Herring, and Marian Muhammad, who have over 150 years of combined experience in the boxing industry, the CSF has successfully established itself as the newest sanctioning body in championship boxing. Commissioning a new SARTONK design was among their first steps.

A working partnership between the CSF and SARTONK was a natural one. To this, President of the CSF, Larry Hazzard, Sr., said, “The Combative Sports Federation is very pleased to have SARTONK as the designer of our belt. SARTONK is unparalleled in the business of originating championship belt creations and any fighter who wears a SARTONK belt is wearing the very best.”

Ardash Sahaghian, who is celebrated as the originator of the modern boxing belt, presided over the creation of the CSF’s belt. Edward S. Majian, Sahaghian’s grandson and President of Sartonk Designs, commented on the success of the creative process: “Considering my grandfather’s work, which spans over three decades now, it’s an absolute honor to create yet another belt that we hope will span another thirty years. It’s an extraordinary responsibility to craft the most important symbol of a sanctioning organization. We take that very seriously at SARTONK.”

The belt’s centerpiece features a fierce and proud eagle, with brilliant wings that protrude upwards. Encircled in diamond and sapphire is the CSF logo of a boxer’s silhouette. The impressive eagle rests between two freely and widely spanning wings, which symbolize  its soaring might. With a “World Boxing Champion” ribbon at the base, the wings cradle brass plates that await the name of its first World Champion.

The CSF is now in the process of approving male and female boxing championships and MMA title competitions. “Our goal is to showcase new, up-and-coming talent that deserve opportunities. We’re excited about what lies ahead and look forward to awarding our first title belt,” commented CSF First Vice President and Supervisor of Officials, Marian Muhammad.
