8gb iBex Flytouch 3 Superpad 2 Gets 3g Flash 10.1 Topples Zt-180 Zenithink 2

April 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Just as tablet afficianados were getting used to their 4gb iBex Flytouch 3’s, iBex is releasing the 8gb version. Big companies like Apple can usually release two versions of the same model with different memory capacities.

iBex Ceo Bryan Schmidt said,

“The Flytouch 3 has turned out to be the biggest success since the Apad iRobot and iPed M16 hit last year. With current demand so high because of the rich functionality and little over $200 price tag, we had no choice but to release this 8gb version as this is what our customer base had been asking for – iBex is all about listening to what the end-users want. This 8 gig memory upgrade was just another delivery on our promise of complete satisfaction we have made in the months since the Fly Touch 3 was released.”

He also told current Flytouch3 owners not to worry saying, “Current iBex Flytouch III users should be able to upgrade their units themselves shortly.”

The offiicial Apad website www.Apad.tv announced the release of the 8gb Superpad 2 and some members were disgruntled. The Admin cooled some users down by explaining,

“Actually there are two models available now, your model has not been discontinued, now people can choose 4GB or 8GB internal storage. Both units are upgradable. Once the next edition of the firmware has been tweaked for the 8GB reflashing, upgrading your 4GB tablet to 8GB is fairly easy if you decide you want to, how-to guides will be posted on the forum...if you want to update your unit to 8GB later, you won't lose anything, the 4GB that is removed and replaced by the 8GB can still be used.  Best regards, aPadTVadmin”

Other iBex FT3 firmware updates include: External 3g (WCDMA) support, Adobe Flash 10.1 Support, Angry Birds Gaming support, Built-in GPS Navigator, increased battery life and iBex’s Flytouch3 custom rom offers many other neat features.
