SunTrust Bank Donates $5,000 to Southwest Florida Goodwill Foundation

SunTrust Bank has donated $5,000 to Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida and the Southwest Florida Goodwill Foundation. The foundation ensures the long-term vision of Goodwill’s mission of helping people with disabilities and disadvantages.
 
April 11, 2011 - PRLog -- The Southwest Florida Goodwill Foundation has received a $5,000 donation from SunTrust Bank.  SunTrust Lee County Vice President Heidi Colgate-Tamblyn and Nick Ayotte presented a ceremonial check to the foundation at Goodwill’s North Fort Myers headquarters.

The Southwest Florida Goodwill Foundation works in coordination with Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida (http://www.goodwillswfl.org).  The foundation sets aside funds to ensure the long-term vision of Goodwill’s mission of providing programs and services for people with disabilities and other disadvantages in the community.

“This gift will help us to continue expanding the services we offer to Southwest Florida,” said Carolyn Johnson, Goodwill’s Vice President of Development. “Last year, Goodwill helped more than 16,000 people become more self-sufficient, and our foundation ensures that funding for these programs will be available for many years to come.”

According to Colgate-Tamblyn, the donation is part of the SunTrust’s commitment to the community.  “SunTrust’s mission of helping people and institutions prosper is clear,” she says.  “Our teammates bring this brand promise to life in many ways.”

Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida (http://www.goodwillswfl.org)serves five counties:  Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry, and Glades.  In these communities, The Southwest Florida Goodwill Foundation will provide additional support for Goodwill programs including youth services, education, mentoring, family strengthening initiatives, occupational skills training, workforce readiness, and the overall mission of Goodwill.
