Episode two of OC Crime Catchers to premiere April 3

The new Orange County crime show returns to TV with a second episode on the OC Channel.
 
April 3, 2011 - PRLog -- Irvine, Calif.,  – OC Crime Catchers has announced that its second episode titled, “Flames, Gangs and ID Thieves," will air Sunday April 3 at 4 p.m.

Episode Two will start with the topic of the Santiago Fire, which was one of the largest unsolved arson fires in Orange County’s history.  It was evening of Oct. 21, 1997 when someone purposely set this wind-driven fire near the corner of Santiago and Silverado Canyon Roads.  The flames scorched more than 28,000 acres and damaged or destroyed more than 40 homes, barns and buildings. A $250,000 reward still remains unclaimed due to the fact that investigators still do not have any suspects or solid leads.

The show will then join the Santa Ana Police Department’s Gang Detail for a ride-along where it will get a first-hand look at the success of a court injunction that bans gang activity in the Santa Ana neighborhood. With the Orange County District Attorney’s expanded gang injunction efforts, eight Orange County neighborhoods, including San Clemente, Orange and Anaheim, gang-related crime has been reduced by as much as 50%.

The show will end with on the topic of identity theft.  ID theft victim, Miguel Chavez, had his social security number stolen by more than a dozen people who are using it to work at jobs all across the country.  Attorney and former ID theft victim, Mari J. Frank, is helping Chavez untangle the web of red tape and reclaim his identity.  She also has great advice to help viewers avoid getting their identities stolen.
