No one likes to pack – it’s a tedious, time-consuming job

Professional packing supplies and boxes are designed to withstand the moving process. Avoid used boxes. Often times they are not structurally strong enough to support possessions.

Supplies make all the difference

Louisville, KY  — No one likes to pack – it’s a tedious, time-consuming job. But rather than risking damage and throwing things in bags and laundry baskets, experts suggest investing in the right supplies to ensure belongings arrive at the new location unharmed.

SAMPLE QUOTE:
“Packing supplies may seem expensive, but they save more money in the end,’’ said Paul Simms, Manager of the Louisville TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® location. “A small investment in strong boxes, quality packing tape and wrapping paper can ensure you won’t have to pay more money replacing broken items.”
Proper packing supplies include packing paper, tissue paper, bubble wrap, sealing tape, permanent markers and resealable plastic bags. The experts at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® recommend:
   Packing non-essential items ahead of time. It also helps to pack one room at a time.
   Labeling each box with a description of its contents and where it belongs, such as the kitchen or master bedroom. Using different colored permanent markers can help classify different rooms.
   Making sure to label boxes containing breakable or sentimental items with “Fragile.”
   Using boxes designed for the items being packed – dish pack for dishes, wardrobe box for clothing.
   Trying to pack all electronic equipment, like stereos, in the original boxes. Otherwise use low-static bubble wrap when packing these items.
   Using packing paper when wrapping fine china and precious items. The ink from printed newsprint can bleed.
   Sealing all boxes with packing tape. This makes it easier to stack boxes and protect belongings.
   Using packing tape instead of duct tape or interlocking the tops. Duct tape doesn’t stick to corrugated cardboard boxes.
