Drift Innovation Presents Intersection Video Competiition at TELUS Ski & Snowboard Festival

March 24, 2011 - PRLog -- Boyne City, Mich. – The best of music, art and winter sports will all collide in Whistler, British Columbia on April 15-24 for the 16th Annual TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival.  Drift Innovation Cameras, manufacturers of the new HD170 Stealth, is proud to take part in all the action and be the presenting sponsor of the inaugural Intersection Video Competition, as well as host a booth with HD170 Stealth demos during the weekends in the Whistler Village.

The Intersection Video Competition seeks the best talent in action sports filmmaking, and then pushes them to their limit. Six teams are invited to take the challenge of producing and editing a 5-7 minute extreme sports video from footage taken only during seven days of the event and within 100km of the Whistler area. Other regulations include:  each team must consist of both a skier and a snowboarder, each film must contain 30 seconds of park footage and 30 seconds of Whistler Blackcomb in-bound terrain, and 75 percent of all footage must be on snow.

Each team will be provided with a Drift Innovation HD170 Stealth camera to capture any point of view footage and $1,000 for participating in the weeklong challenge. The event will kick off on April 12 and end on April 20 at the Conference Center where the audience members will enjoy an evening of watching all of the competition’s completed videos. The winning video will be announced at the video premier event as well as awarded the grand prize of $15,000.

Drift Innovation will also be hosting a booth in the Whistler village on both weekends, April 16 & 17 and 23 & 24. Drift demo units will be available for attendants to test, and with the integrated LCD screen, demo participants can instantly review the high quality video footage.
