WHAT: For Jesse Grace who battles Neuroblastoma, her dream to have a custom built playground in her backyard to enjoy in-between medical treatments will come true during a surprise wish granting ceremony hosted by the We Promise and Roc Solid Foundations

WHERE: Jesse Grace’s home in Williamsburg, VA (110 Oslo Court, Williamsburg, VA 23188)

WHEN: 11:45 AM - Saturday, March 19, 2011

March 17, 2011 – With steely strength, two-year old Jesse Grace is fighting the most important battle of her life: Stage 3 Neuroblastoma. At the most desperate of times, the We Promise Foundation will be giving her the gift of a dream come true as they surprise Jesse with a custom-built playground designed and built by the Roc Solid Foundation for pediatric cancer patients.

Granting her one wish couldn’t come at a better time, as two days later, Jesse Grace will be readmitted to a local hospital for a two-month stay to undergo her next round of treatment.  “We could not be more thrilled to give this special hero the strength to keep fighting as she faces the difficult juncture ahead,” says John Blum, Chairman of the We Promise Foundation. “At the young age of two, Jesse can hardly pronounce the name of the disease that threatens her life, but in the important moments in between painful treatments when she can play without boundaries, we can deliver the kind joy every child deserves.”

In addition to their donation to the Roc Solid Foundation, the We Promise Foundation has provided numerous other grants to charitable children’s groups across the country that share the Foundations passion and mission to make a difference.  In all, they raised over $600,000 in 2010 and over $3 million since 1999 to help make dreams come true for children suffering from life-threatening or debilitating illnesses.
