Cat Wong Studios Introduces Speech-Level Singing™

March 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Honolulu, Hawaii – Cat Wong Studio has introduced a revolutionary new vocal training technique called “Speech-Level Singing™” or SLS. The method was created by Seth Riggs, a professional vocal coach, and teaches singers to sing safely, powerfully and with a wider range than ever. This technique was used by over 100 Grammy Award winners such as Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Janet Jackson, and American Idol stars Kelly Clarkson and David Archuleta. “The technique consists of maximizing the vocal abilities, giving you more control of your voice and more power and depth” said a company spokesperson.

While the method can be self-taught, the only way to truly master it is to learn from a professional vocal teacher certified in Speech-Level Singing™, such as Cat Wong. “At Cat Wong Studio we encounter a safe space where it’s easy to expand the limitations and to discover the potential of your voice. Cat Wong has a B.A. in Communications Studies and is a Level 2 certified Speech-Level Singing™ teacher with an extended experience in solo performing and working with bands in Hawaii and California. She has also trained and worked with Sony recording artists and consults bands as well as coaching voice over professionals. “She is an extraordinary vocal coach and is blessed with such a positive attitude and openness that would inspire you to go further” remarked a zealous student.

The studio is located in Historic downtown Honolulu in a pink high-rise building near Hawaii Theater and is open to all singers, from beginners (no prior vocal training needed) to karaoke enthusiasts, solo artists and musicians and generally to everyone who wants to became a better singer. “We coach people of all ages, levels and music styles and help them find their best singing voice and also be able to express it with confidence” said a company spokesperson.

The one-on-one instruction is combined with specific exercises to address the student’s particular issues. Students are encouraged to bring the songs that they want to work on and lessons are recorded on a CD which works as a tool for review. “Weekly and bi-monthly lessons are encouraged for best results” said a company spokesperson.
