After completing a post-graduate residency at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, she worked as a research pharmacist for the AIDS clinical trial unit of Downstate Medical Center and has worked in several area hospitals, retail pharmacies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, home infusion companies, and educational institutions. Her experience in a wide variety of practice settings, as well as her credentials as a NYS licensed teacher, have enabled her to develop a highly successful program that trains students to become Certified Pharmacy Technicians (C.PhTs).

Certified Pharmacy Technicians work under licensed pharmacists and assist them in the dispensing and compounding of medications. The high demand for C.PhT’s has created a need for a training program that could incorporate both class and lab work to prepare students to pass the National Certification Exam.
