Evidence Reveals Children Are Geniuses... Says Imafidon, Father Of Geniuses

March 1, 2011 - PRLog -- LONDON - Chris Imafidon, patriarch of Britain’s brainiest family and honorary board member of the Excellence in Education programme, has noted that every child has an estimated 100 billion brain cells and one cell computes faster than the world's fastest NASA super computer. Any baby learns and absorbs  60times more than teenages. "Therefore, it is self-evident that my widely quoted assertion that every kid is a whizzkid is an absolute truism" he said today.  He made this revelation at a conference on academic achievement of the University of London’s  LSE (London School of Economics) alongside Rt. Hon. Baroness Patricia Scotland, the former British Attorney-General. Chris Imafidon demonstrated through scientific evidence, family and other recent case studies that there is a genius in every child.

Chris Imafidon, whose eldest child became the youngest ever Masters graduate in the twin specialisms of Mathematics and Computer Science from Oxford University, cited the results of preliminary studies which involved students at University of Oxford and some London Universities. He concluded that “the appropriate use of innovative computer tools and techniques is a bigger factor than parent's genes, postcode, gender, or any other factor in student academic achievement.”

According to him “Every learning endeavour is affected by technology. There is a clear distinction between formal studying and learning, he added. Recent neurological studies show that every juvenile is a genius and he supported this with additional case studies from London worst performing schools.

He revealed how innovative computer technology can be used as a yardstick for school achievement and referred people to the Imafidon website (www.imafidons.com) where anybody can easily download Secrets of their academic success. He called for "a larger, long term (longitudinal), multi-centre study on the exact underpinnings of the trend busting phenomenon of academic overachievement of these inner-city students from the worst performing schools, boroughs, and counties."

Chris Imafidon, father of the family with the world's highest number of prodigies said that his children's success is "Not in the genes, not in the postcode, not in the gender, or in the school. But in the optimum, enabling environment where Mathematics is a game and learning is fun. I salute the teachers, parents and volunteers of the Excellence in Education programme for inner city pupils for their pioneering work with socially disadvantaged students. I congratulate organisations, churches and other community groups such the VPA in Barking, Essex and St Cliwom Church in Old Kent Road, London for collaborating in this educational project. The whole society must do all it can to develop each child's talent even if the child is from the poorest post code, or the worst school.”

He drew on his research on educational informatics and additional information/experience as a school governor and an honorary board member of the EIE programme made a proposal. He proposed a saving to “the country how to save at least 2 billion pounds every year if more investment is made strategically at the appropriate Key stage. It's not just education but it makes economic sense. It was Benjamin Franklin who said investment in education yields the highest dividends.  Therefore, no one can put a value on education, or mental development."  He concluded with a reiteration of his “fervent belief that there is a genius in every pupil and called on all secondary school students to "target University Education. If all students focused on University, widening participation in higher education would be raised to 100% and end the unending debate about how many of our youths should benefit from University education.”
