Use An 0800 Number And Never Miss Calls Again

A new feature for 0800 numbers which diverts calls to a chain of up to five different phones or voicemails means that UK businesses need never worry about missing another phone call again.

Feb. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- Lincolnshire, UK: Many UK businesses that have 0800 numbers are extremely excited about a new telecoms feature which has the major advantage of being able to divert all incoming calls if your lines are busy or if there is no answer. This feature is called "Divert calls on Busy or No Answer" or DOBNA for short.

David Clarke, Director of DBS Telecoms and an 0800 numbers specialist explains that “this feature means that your business never need miss another phone call. It’s as simple as that.” Asked about how it works, he explained that “a custom plan can be set up which can involve up to five separate telephone numbers. The plan can include landline numbers, mobile phone numbers and answer phones. You can choose how many seconds the call rings at each number before it rolls over to the next number on the custom plan. We can personalise the plan to fit exactly how a business needs their call diversions to be. This means your incoming phone calls follow you or your staff around wherever you may be, and you won’t ever miss that vital call.”

One example of how this feature could be beneficial would be the scenario that you have to leave the office urgently. After 10 seconds of ringing at your desk the call will follow your custom plan and divert through to your mobile. If your mobile phone is busy or you don't answer it then after the set length of time prescribed by you then the call will then divert to the receptionist at your office who deals with the call.

Another example would be that you are already on the phone when an important customer rings. The call therefore diverts to the next number on the list. However, this person is away from their desk in an internal meeting so the call then diverts to voicemail.

Diverting calls on busy or no answer is ideal for UK businesses as:
•   you can still answer a call even if you are away from the office
•   it makes sure that your customer always has a contact point
•   it allows calls to be transferred to a mobile, another landline or a voicemail meaning you never miss a call
•   if you are in and out of the office a lot it will make sure your calls still get answered

Commenting on the ease of setting up the new feature, DBS Director David Clarke said: “Divert on busy or no answer (DOBNA) allows us to route calls to alternative numbers if you are not available. This makes your best customer feel happy that someone is always there for them. All you need to do is supply your alternative contact details and details of how you would like your personal plan to work. If you don’t have a 0800 number already, our friendly staff at DBS will normally get one set up for you within one working hour. It couldn’t be simpler”.
