On High Heels a PR Boutique for Women Entrepreneurs

What's a girl to do when the down economy makes it difficult to find a job, even with stellar skills? She creates her own buzz by rekindling her dream and starting her own business.

On High Heels (http://www.on-high-heels.com) is a boutique PR and marketing company started on the shoestring of a shoestring budget by Donina Ifurung. A self-professed shoe-groupie and all things girlie, Donina found herself literally in the throes of an economy that turned ugly very quickly. Though her resume reads like a who's who of major companies, she was only able to find three-months at a time temp assignments, and found that the uncertainty of it all was too stressful.

Inspired by a couple of girlfriends who started their own businesses a few years ago, Donina thought, "No time like the present", and started On High Heels in the summer of 2010. She always had the entrepreneurial desire, having dabbled with network marketing businesses like Amway and BurnLounge (now defunct), but was too comfortable in the working world.

That entrepreneurial fire was sparked when, after only a year stint at a major media conglomerate where she was was forced to resign because of stress-related anxiety  caused by its negative leadership, Donina realized that working for and at the whim of a "mean" employer no longer sat well with her.

After successfully placing a friend (who is now a two-time Grammy winning producer) in a local music magazine, the PR bug hit her hard! She started doing write-ups for friends, creating copy for flyers and brochures, and giving editing suggestions. This was a natural fit for Donina, and On High Heels came tip-tap tapping onto the scene.

On High Heels serves clients in fashion and beauty, retail and non-profit organizations. Though the target niche is women entrepreneurs and small businesses, it is the heart of this company to help and connect businesses to each other. On High Heels serves its clients in a very personal way. One client has described Donina as someone "who gets things done, and gets it right". That's a strong testimony.

As a woman entrepreneur, Donina knows what it is like to feel "alone" in the start-up and launch of a business.
