Launch of Free Ebook Publishing Platform, Bibliotastic - Connecting indie Authors with E-readers

Feb. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Today marks the official launch of bibliotastic.com a new website that aims to connect aspiring authors with an open-minded audience. Bibliotastic aspires to be to the free ebook market what YouTube is to user-generated video.

To mark its launch bibliotastic is giving away a free Kindle to the most interesting or insightful comment on one of the books on its site. Runners up will get a T-Shirt.

Bibliotastic’s co-founder Bernard Gerard notes: “What our authors crave more than anything is feedback from the reader. Obviously multi-million dollar book advances are nice too, but a desire to be read is what motivates most of our writers.”

One of bibliotastic's authors, CL Sumruld, notes "After years of submissions to the Gods of the publishing world, whose rejections come after months of anxious hand wringing, to have one's book available for public consumption and scrutiny this quickly, is remarkable".

Another of bibliotastic’s authors, S. Abrams, recently thanked bibliotastic saying "I am amazed and sincerely grateful for the prompt support I have gotten. Thank you so much for providing this service."

“We all know the stories about now famous authors who spent years getting rejection letter after rejection letter until one day they got their lucky break and suddenly all of their previously rejected back catalogue was deemed marketable,” notes Bernard Gerard. “Bibliotastic aims to let the audience decide for itself what is worth reading rather than just relying upon the commercial filters of mainstream publishing.”
