Smart Sensors to demonstrate Embedded MIRLIN Iris Biometric Recognition at Embedded World 2011

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 4, 2011 - At Embedded World 2011, the company will be show casing an Access Control kit with embedded control board, Wiegand interface for door control and on-board database for up to 2000 users on MPC Data’s booth (Hall 12 Booth 363).

The system is based on a Texas Instruments DM3730 (ARM  Cortex A8 CPU) with USB interface and  running MPC Data’s latest Windows Embedded Compact 7 CTP BSP (http://www.mpcdata.com/board-support-packages-products/)  with integrated Vector Floating Point library. The Embedded System handles all camera control, image capture and iris recognition functions using embedded MIRLIN technology.

Secure access control is an important feature of everyday life, whether for use in boarding aircraft, entering an office building or even logging on to computing resources. Opening doors with Smart Sensors’ patented software and the Beagle Board reference design gives you supervision by a virtual security guard – the perfect solution for keyless and hands-free access control.
