ZipMixx Offers Concrete Sink Casting Classes

    Zip Concrete is the manufacturer of ZipMixx castable concrete.  ZipMixx is a two-part concrete mixture that allows sinks and other products cast with concrete to be removed from the mold in one hour, a process that normally takes up to 24 hours.

    The two day course will cover mold preparation, proper mixing of the ZipMixx, correct pouring and demolding techniques.
    “Straight out of the mold, the sinks look great,” explained ZipMixx co-founder Lou Giovannini, “but we’ve developed techniques on how to stain these sinks to make them really stand out.  We’ll also show those in the class the various methods of sealing the sink to make them last and look great for many, many years.”
    The classes cost  $1095, which includes lunch and are geared for every level of experience, from the do-it-yourself homeowner, to the experienced decorative concrete contractor.
