The Power of Love is Unleashed in Divabetic’s Valentine Month Celebrations

Jan. 26, 2011 - PRLog -- The shortest month is also a lunar distinction packed with events and observances from Presidents’ Day, Black History Month and the Chinese New Year to the Superbowl and the Academy Awards to Groundhog Day and the Westminster Dog Show. And this year, Divabetic will celebrate the month’s other big day – Valentine’s Day – by encouraging its divas to “Love Yourself, Love Your Health.” As one of the country’s leading health and wellness nonprofits, Divabetic’s mission is to provide an empowering and supportive environment for women living with diabetes and it hopes to have its Valentine’s message start from within.

“We want women to appreciate the power of love and recognize that it all starts by loving themselves. Once they embrace the diva within, they are able to make themselves the best they can be and then it’s easy to spread the love,” says Max “Mr. Divabetic” Szadek, Executive Director and Founder of Divabetic. “The message of Love Yourself, Love Your Health embodies everything we do and what better time to have a lovefest than February.”

To kick off the month of love, the always entertaining Mr. Divabetic will serve as healthcare host of Diva TalkRadio. The live broadcast of Diva TalkRadio Spotlight will be February 1 at 6:00 PM and feature guest Constance Brown-Riggs, author of The African American Guide to Living Well with Diabetes. The Diva TalkRadio Roundtable show will air live on February 8 at 6:00 PM.  The all-star cast features the Charlie’s Angels of Diabetes Outreach (certified diabetes educators from around the country), guest diva Fran C. from New York and popular segments including the Diabetes Numerology game, celebrity makeup artist Yago “Stay Pretty” Jones and Dining Out With a Dietician – a romantic dinner at Panda Express and show giveaways from Diabetes Health Magazine, Cabot Cheese and VitaZest Water. Mr. Divabetic will also host Divabetic Club events in New York City on February 3 at 6:30 PM and in Philadelphia on February 5 at 10:00 AM at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. These free motivational sessions provide support and encouragement as attendees get the attitude and style of a diva to live healthy with their diabetes and be heartened to Love Yourself, Love Your Health.
