3M, maker of Incognito™ Hidden Braces, recently completed their shoot for O2 Media’s hit morning TV show “The Balancing Act.”  The segment, which features 3M representative Amy Byerley, will air as part of the February 7th show at 7:00 am (ET/PT) on Lifetime Television.  Byerley brings viewers up to speed with modern braces technology, and introduces one new style that is practically invisible.

Unlike other styles, Incognito Hidden Braces are fitted behind the teeth for superior comfort and concealment.  They are also the only fixed, lingual braces that are 100% customized to the patient’s specific orthodontic situation, which can make them highly efficient at their task.  Due to the availability of this new technology, more and more adults are now seeking out the treatment to fix their crooked teeth.  Parents who never had braces as a child, or whose teeth have shifted over time, can now easily improve their smile without anyone knowing.

“One in five new orthodontic patients these days is an adult*,” Byerley says.  “Incognito Braces give moms, dads, and kids a way to straighten their teeth without putting their braces on display every time they smile.  The Balancing Act is a great way for us to create awareness for this relatively new and extremely liberating orthodontic solution.”

3M also produces a variety of other braces, including low profile metal and clear ceramic versions, as well as one style that eliminates the need for elastic bands.  Only an orthodontist can decide which options are best for each patient’s needs, and in the case of the hidden Incognito Braces, 3M works with the patient’s doctor to create a unique and customized prescription.  The bottom line is that today’s solutions are far more advanced than ever before and produce quicker, less painful, and less obtrusive results than in the past.

“Having Amy Byerley from 3M Unitek on the show has brought yet another great solution to women, one that will have a real impact, and help them balance their lives,” says Doug Campbell, Founder and Executive VP of Programming for The Balancing Act.  “This is the essence of solutions-based programming, and we are proud that we could bring this information to our viewers.”
