Akasha Energy and Zero Carbon Energy Sign MOU for Projects and Technology Transfer

Jan. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Akasha Energy, LLC, a global provider of integrated renewable energy services, and India-based Zero Carbon Energy Ventures Pvt. Ltd., Wednesday announced plans to collaborate on renewable energy projects and technology transfer.

Akasha Energy and Zero Carbon Energy Ventures have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that outlines plans for cooperation in several areas, including the development and construction of renewable energy projects in India, and mutually beneficial technology transfer.

According to Nair, India accounts for more than 17 percent of the world’s population and about 7 percent of the world’s GDP, but only 4 percent of the global energy production. High economic growth in India over the last decade has resulted in higher income growth, which is driving up industrial and domestic power consumption. In general, India’s power demand exceeds supply and there is a broad-based energy shortage, which in most cases remains unmet.
