For example "Mount Up" will allow you to ride faster and "Bountiful Bags" will grant you more resources gathered. The second one though, requires a 22 guild level, which does not come easily.

3. Get at least one gathering profession.

The last aspect on how to increase gold profits in Cataclysm stands for gathering. A gathering profession is great to have because resources like mineral ore, hides or herbs are always on high demand. Important to know, you can now track both herbs and minerals at the same time. In one of the patches previous to 4.0.1 (don't remember which one) this feature was added and now it's really worth to have mining and herbalism on a toon. Along with a fast mount and the "Bountiful Bags" guild perk, you'll get loads of resources which means loads of wowgold.
