Follow on Google News |  Caribbean New Year’s Eve Bash Kicks off Red Carpet Rats’ “Rockin’ the Islands” TourRed Carpet Rats, kicked off their “Rockin’ the Islands” Virgin Island Tour with a raucous New Year’s Eve Bash at Island Blues Seaside Bar and Grill in St. John, US Virgin Islands.
By: Donna Caldwell This outing marks Red Carpet Rat’s first opportunity to tour the Caribbean, and they will spend three months touring the US and British Virgin Islands. The band will weave their way through the region, performing nearly 50 dates on six islands - St. John, St. Thomas, St. Croix, Tortola, Jost Van Dyke and Virgin Gorda. As a special treat for their Caribbean fans, the band recently released a special Virgin Islands version of their latest album “The Year of the Rat,” featuring two bonus cuts, including their salute to the region, “Livin’ the Island Way.” The stateside version of the CD will be released in April to coincide with the launch of their new travel series, “Rockin’ the Islands, starring Red Carpet Rats” which will air on the Resorts and Residence Network (R&R-TV). This docu-series is set to capture the day-to-day adventures of Red Carpet Rats as they travel from port to port in the Caribbean, spending their days checking out each city’s fun-filled highlights, and their nights performing at the hottest clubs on the islands! Sandy beaches, tropical sunsets and cool rock music. What could be hotter than that? About Red Carpet Rats Red Carpet Rats has proven that their sound has no boundaries, with two new singles on two different radio formats. “Photographic Memory” is heating up the airwaves of pop and alternative stations and “Going To Hell,” with its harder, darker edge, has caught fire on rock stations across the country, having been featured in both an ESPN segment and an independent film. RCR has also crossed-over into the Latin market, leading to a performance of their tequila-fueled anthem “The Gulp of Mexico” on Telemundo’s Spanish TV.
