        Aptera production delayed again
        Nissan won the initial race for EV rollout for the masses
        GM delivered on its promise on Volt production
         Nissan Leaf - Europe Car of the Year
         GM Volt - won numerous award in the US
         GE is jumping into the EV industry with charging stations and EV components
         US leads EV race, followed by Japan, UK, China and Europe
         Telsa went IPO, partnered with Toyota, Honda, and Panasonic as well as bought NUMMI plant from Toyota
         BYD fizzled on EV launch
         Honda finally joins the EV band wagon
         Toyota strives to retain its green image and retain its quality image.
         Battery maker A123 went IPO
         Solar charging and wireless chargig are being demonstrated and evaluated.
         GM went IPO, after bankruptcy earlier in the year.
         Carlos Goshn articulated his vision on EV and public policy/subsidy.
         California emerged as the center of EV revolution.
 

Predictions for 2011 by 4EVRiders.org
 
  Other auto manufacturers, following the lead of  EV pioneers - Nissan, GM, Tesla, and Mitsubishi,
     begin to compete with R&D and Plug-in products to get mind share, market share and regulatory compliance.
  Public will begin to accept EV and Plug-in Hybrids are here to stay
  There will be at least one breakthrough in battery technology that helps accelerate the downward trend of battery price
  China will emerge as a major player in automobile and EV beyond its border.
  Continued growth and development of public charging, solar charging and wireless charging.  
  Charging stations pospping up in public places such as airports, shopping malls, hotels (Sheraton ), restaraunts (McDonald, Cracker Barrel, public garages, colleges (Purdue),  gas stations  (BP), and auto dealears
  Price of gasoline in California will top $4/gallon, again.
  EV and Plug-in sales continue to ramp up as public awareness and acceptance pick up.
  Tesla poises to become EV auto manufacturer of 21th century.
  2011 - Breakout Year of Electric Car
