Crtcl Mas new CD "Anything But Certain" is a mystery

His voice is pure, calm, and introspective. He is an avant-garde animal of sorts who's has lot of things he needs to say. He leaves the mind with questions, with mysteries abound, yet it's all so simple if you see it through his eyes. And how he delivers these messages is unique on to itself. It's done through his weapon of choice - his music. His style, his arrangements, his delivery are his own - he owns them - they are who he is and he delivers it all to you. This is Crtcl Mas.

His own self profile reads as follows:

"Spawned in the tormented bowels of the tightly squeezed Alberta rectum, and bursting with the isolated tension and mechanical insanity of prairie life, the groundbreaking new producer/vocalist Crtcl Mas lives!! Inspired by the influence of technology, environment, spirituality, and dissonance and incorporating live, programmed, and sample based sound to power a gut wrenching tapestry of oral revolution, Crtcl Mas is more than just ear candy, he's soul food".

You could pick this statement apart or you can accept it for what it truly is and what it truly means to this futuristic artist. However, it truly is a mirror to what this individual is all about. He is influenced by everything, by nothing, by silence and by clutter. He uses all he feels and sees and imagines in a form that I haven't seen in a few decades.

"Disappeared Like So Many Dreams" is the lead single of his newest project, "Anything But Certain". It is a song about an uncertain future, referencing dreams as fleeting and life itself as a dream. Yet who's to know. One man's analogy on this subject is right here. This single is also a catalyst to the rest of this CD due in part to the different person as that it carries. Crtcl Mas calls it an 'oral revolution' - I call it thought provoking compositions.
