New Belkasoft tool saves security specialists time

Dec. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- Belkasoft, a computer forensics software vendor, announces today the release of à new generation of their flagship tool called Belkasoft Evidence Center.

The tool is aimed at helping security specialists collect digital evidence from a computer, such as Internet chats, web-surfing history and email communications. Belkasoft has reworked the older products, gathered many customers’ wishes and introduced a lot of enhancements to this new release. The distinguishing features of the product include case management, an ability to store evidence information in a database, support for multiple-monitors, hash values calculation for evidence data, support for huge cases such as multiple Outlook mailbox case, etc. Unlike the previous generation Belkasoft Forensic Studio, which is a bundle of three separate products (Instant Messenger Analyzer tool, Browser Analyzer tool and Mail Analyzer tool), the new product has all the three parts in one interface, enabling a user to perform a variety of operations against all available case information in a uniform way.

The Enterprise version of the Evidence Center tool makes it possible for multiple users to work simultaneously with the same case using shared SQL Server database. The Enterprise version is intended for major security or police departments.
