New Focus for IT Authorities: Cloud Computing

Dec. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- IT Authorities has recently made a major decision to shift business focus from being primarily a managed services provider (MSP) to being primarily a cloud computing services provider.

The company will continue to service existing managed services accounts and aggressively pursue additional managed services business. However the primary focus will be Cloud Computing Services and Managed Services in that order.  From 2006 to 2009 IT Authorities focused primarily on providing managed services for small to medium sized businesses in the Tampa bay area.  This proved to be a very successful step for IT Authorities, ranking number 35 on MSPmentor’s list of The Top 100 Managed Service Providers in the World.  

Jason Caras, Co-CEO stated “Cloud computing services have become the way of the future for IT and foreseeing this demand, we made a multi-million dollar investment to build arguably the world’s most advanced and sophisticated cloud platform.  Many companies, including other fellow managed service providers, have since turned to IT Authorities to leverage their cloud services on a wholesale basis as well.”  

Jason Pollner, the company’s other Co-CEO, stated “Our small and large clients alike are benefiting from Cloud services and in most cases, it has proven to be far more economical for them to achieve reliability, security, high availability and disaster recovery than using highly sought after and harder to come by Cap-Ex dollars.”  

Current clientele includes enterprise sized companies that have internal IT departments, small to medium businesses that do not have their own IT department, and other managed services providers that lack the investment and capability to build their own cloud platform.
