Governor Lingle proclaims 2nd Hawaii Week for the Animals December 4-12, 2010!

Nov. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- Hawaii Week for the Animals is bringing together educators, advocates, animal shelters, rescue organizations, sanctuaries, businesses, students, musicians, artists, community leaders, and caring citizens in an exciting week of community-building activities.

The exciting week will feature pet adoption events, wildlife activities, vegetarian events, art events, holiday pet photos, nature walks, wildlife & forest tours, musical evening to benefit Hawaii birds, pet toy collection drive, low cost spay neuter opportunities and more!

All these events will shine the spotlight on the amazing animals, beauty & history of the islands and the compassionate people of Hawaii. The week presents a unique opportunity to change the history for the animals by collectively coming together through goodwill and new friendships.
