Sky View Center Celebrates 2010 Holiday Shopping Season and Black Friday Specials

National retailers offer deals for the ultimate Black Friday shopping experience. Grand opening celebration continues featuring free concerts & family events every Saturday, giveaways & a holiday light show every night. 2 hours of free parking.

Nov. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- Jumpstarting the 2010 holiday shopping season, Flushing, Queens’ newest shopping center, Sky View Center will mark its first Black Friday with early store openings and doorbuster specials.  With an impressive blend of national retailers, shoppers can experience everything the center has to offer including already opened retailers Best Buy, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Bob’s Discount Furniture, Marshalls, Target (including a Starbucks and Pizza Hut Express), and Old Navy. Bed Bath and Beyond will celebrate its official grand opening on Black Friday and Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar, and Chuck E. Cheese’s are expected to open by the end of the year.

Black Friday also marks the official launch of Sky View Center’s Passport Program. Travel around the center and have your “Passport” stamped by all of the retailers to win retailer gift certificates and fabulous prizes. Every completed card is an immediate winner. Many of the national, big-box retailers, including Old Navy, Target, Best Buy, BJ’s, and Bed, Bath and Beyond will open their doors in the early morning and offer some of the best deals of the season.  Old Navy will open its doors at midnight on Black Friday for shoppers to get a jump start on “GobblePalooza,” a three-day sales event running through the weekend. Opening at 4:00 a.m., Target will offer specials such as $3 appliances, deals on HDTVs, 50% off clothing and many other hot deals. Best Buy opens at 5:00 a.m. and will feature such specials as deals on Wii Console Bundles, select laptops for as little as $399, and even Sony Blu-ray players for just $99. BJ’s, which is expected to open at 7:00 a.m., will feature an exclusive Black Friday Coupon Booklet offering member’s savings on select items such as a Sony iPod Docking Station or a HP PhotoSmart printer for only $49.99. Additionally, Bed, Bath and Beyond will be open at 5:00 a.m.

Shoppers will also be able to take advantage of the extended hours at the other retailers including Bob’s Discount Furniture and Marshalls, and will enjoy two hours of free parking through the end of the year.

To further celebrate its new retailers and welcome the community, Sky View Center also kicked-off Sky View Celebrates! (http://www.shopskyviewcenter.com/upcoming-events/) - a free Saturday event series, which runs through the holiday season, and features exciting kid’s entertainment such as the Deedle Deedle Dees, and even the Big Apple Circus. Each evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. to closing, through the end of the year, shoppers will be treated to a dramatic lighting program timed to holiday music, featuring twinkling snowflakes, stars and ornaments suspended from the sky of the center with an extended special program running every Thursday and on Black Friday.

Adding to the retail excitement, shoppers can also expect even more openings in the coming months including Payless Shoe Source, Famous Footwear, and Five Guys Burgers, as well as Sky Foods Supermarket, which will be run by a local grocery operator, and Golden Jaguar Buffet.
